His Centrist If Not Conservative Political Agenda

24 November 2009 No Comment

I was at an Obama rally. Somehow I ended up around Obama and we started talking. I was struck by his height and his overpowering aura. He towered over me and joyously gazed into my face. I felt like I was in the presence of some sort of spiritual energy. I couldn’t help but be taken by him. I smiled at him but I couldn’t resist to voice my criticism of his political stance. I started telling him how I was uncomfortable by his centrist if not conservative political agenda. He stared at me and said that it’s good to be a centrist. I felt choked up, like I couldn’t force a response, I felt like I lost my voice. I looked away to gain confidence and when I looked back, Obama was gone.

From a 33 year-old female film and television editor from Los Angeles,  and a reluctant Obama supporter.  June 2008.
