This was a fly-on-the-wall type of dream, where I was only an observer.  It was very short and very intense, like a snapshot burned on my mind.  President and Mrs. Obama were standing in the Oval Office, standing on the carpet with the eagle emblem on it,  facing each other and smiling.   They weren’t embracing, but were holding onto each other’s elbows.   They were so happy — and they were glowing with a golden, angelic light.  It was a very powerful image.

I dreamt I was a reporter or an observer, and I was in the back seat while President Obama drove himself to an important meeting with dignitaries.  I dream I saw him wink at a Nelson Mandela, as if they were both acknowledging their positions.

It’s amusing to imagine such an exchange between two unlikely heroes who broke racial barriers to become national and global leaders.

I dreamed that President Obama and the First Lady were doing a TV interview. They were older, both had more grey hair and both had put on weight. Michelle was not as glamorous as we’re used to seeing her–she was wearing her hair kind of puffy–straight back, exposing a lot of curly grey edges. I was looking at all the people in the big open space, when I noticed that Barack Obama was on my left, walking about shaking hands with folks and passing out info. It’s the day after the Inauguration, only instead of attending more balls or parties, the entire world is bursting with anticipation over the first White House wedding. I’m watching CNN?  President Obama is on a Segway (new tech moving  2-wheeled form of transportation) and it has a tiny explosion. He stays on and it flips over in a complete circle, a loop.  He has no helmet on and he is bloody and thrown down on the ground. He gets back on and goes a block or two to where congressmen are gathered for a meeting on the lawn.   He appears bloody and is crawling in on the ground (off the Segway?) and then he talks to them. …

I am out at some kind of public event or function, a banquet of some kind. I’m sitting comfortably with a small group of people that I know, some from the present and some from the past. I was on a flight to Seattle, and lo and behold, Barack Obama and his security team came on the flight. Turns out, Barack was my seat mate in the First Class cabin.
